The State of Minnesota does not need a sales form to complete a property transfer after a vehicle transaction. But a sales invoice is a good idea for the seller and buyer to register and document a vehicle transaction. Although the State of Minnesota does not require you to use the BOS for this vehicle as a registration document, you must document the year, vehicle identification number, model, manufacturing and mileage meter. Step 2 – Vehicle Details – Enter vehicle information in the corresponding parts: For untitled vehicles, you should know that if a title has been issued to the vehicle, the transmission must be on the title. Step 5 – Disclosure of the seller – The seller should read the statements carefully. In the event of a defect on the vehicle, the seller must disclose them in the specified line. From that date, you must accept if you understand all the explanations and if you agree with them and they are before a notary. After the sale of your vehicle, you may need to submit a sales report on the official Minnesota DVS website. The report is required if you have given, scrapped or transferred your car to an individual. If you have sold your vehicle to a dealer, the report is not required. Note that after the sale of your car, the license plate and registration fees will be awarded to the buyer.
